THE LONG GAME

CREATING A CIRCULAR ECONOMY

When creating sustainable models it is important to understand the cycles of the natural resources available and how they are used. This is achieved by remaining in balance with the environment, developing scientific research, assessing impact and knowing the needs of the locally present people.

ECO-FRIENDLY

BiOLOGICAL PROCESS

Low impact biological processing refers to the use of living organisms such as bacteria, fungi, or plants to extract, transform, or remediate materials in natural resource projects, mining, and commodity processing. In mining, Bioleaching is a process in which microorganisms are used in the process to extract metals such as copper, gold, and platinum group metals from ores or tailings.

The microorganisms are introduced to the ore and they break down the mineral structure, releasing the desired metal. Similarly, phytomining involves using plants to absorb metals from the soil and then harvesting the plants to recover the metals which are effective solutions.

VANGUARD MODEL

Bioremediation is a technique used to clean up contaminated soil or water, while assisting with the separation and extraction of the metals.

Bioleaching recovers metals from low-grade ores that would otherwise be too expensive to extract using traditional methods, creating value in opportunites.

Biological agents reduce the need for harsh chemicals and energy-intensive processes, which lowers the carbon footprint and the impact on the ecosystem.

FULL CYCLE PRODUCTION

The use of activated charcoal in refining precious and strategic metals has several benefits assisting to increase the purity and value of the final product.

Electrochemical refining uses electrolytic cells to selectively extract the metals from the impurities in the solution more energy-efficient and cost effective.

Green chemistry uses non-toxic chemicals in the refining process, such as green solvents and catalysts. It eliminates the use of hazardous chemicals.

HEAVY METAL REMOVAL

DE-CONTAMINATION

Reprocessing contaminated soils and waste from tailings sites that have been used with mercury in the process can be challenging, there are several technologies available for extracting the mercury from the soils and recovering the mineral content that is available from old contaminated sites, such as Bioremediation and Bioleaching, which creates a host of profitable business opportunities when high grades of minerals remain in the ore, with bio-processing and ultra fine grinding techniques we breakdown the molecular structure and access the metals.
